Gregory Nottingham is a South African film composer, orchestrator and conductor whose music is rooted in melody, emotion and cinematic storytelling.
Growing up playing piano, guitar and experimenting with DAWs and sequencers, he developed a natural instinct for writing that feels both personal and cinematic.
Alongside composing, Gregory has gained years of experience working at the highly acclaimed Jazzworx studios in Johannesburg, developing an in-depth understanding of music production, mixing and post-production workflows. This technical foundation informs every score he writes, ensuring music not only tells the story emotionally, but also integrates naturally within the wider sonic landscape of film.
With experience spanning film, television, commercial media, orchestration and live performance, Gregory brings both technical craftsmanship and artistic sensitivity to every project. Whether writing for intimate drama, animation, documentary or epic fantasy, his focus remains the same: to serve the story with honesty, restraint and imagination.
